I love listening to music when I write, and the full list of songs I listened to while writing Ice Kissed added up to 40 songs. I narrowed it down to the best 15 that fit the feel of the novel. I listened to A LOT of Meg Myers and Lorde while writing this series, but I didn’t include more than one song by either of them on the soundtrack to vary it up a bit. It’s only three weeks until Ice Kissed comes out, so I thought it was time to turn up the heat a little bit with a quote from Ridley Dresden. While Bryn ended Frostfire still unsure if she should follow her head or her heart – her head wants her to deny her growing attraction to Ridley or her heart desperately wants her to give into it – Ridley is ready to make a decision once and for all in Ice Kissed.

A little while back, I discovered MBTI character charts for Divergent created by Christina Reads YA. MBTI stands for Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. It’s a questionnaire that people can take, and it breaks them down into sixteen personality types based on you perceive and interact with the world. I find the whole MBTI thing fascinating, so I decided to make one for the Kanin Chronicles (and I also included characters from the Trylle who make appearances in the Kanin series). I didn’t do a traditional chart, however, because I basically just wanted to see what the characters were, and there are over sixteen characters, so three types are repeated twice.

Without further ado, here’s is the MBTI chart for the Kanin Chronicles.

I should also note that none of the personality types are inherently good or bad, which is how sometimes “bad guys” can have positive qualities listed under their MBTI type.

According to the quiz I took, I personally was right on the line between INFP and INFJ, so I’m either an Idealist like Konstantin Black or an Counseler like Lisbet Ahlstrom. Which character would you be, according to the MBTI test?
