Ever Fairy Tale Ends
The Omte Orgins – the final trilogy set in the world of the Trylle – comes to the end in THE EVER AFTER.
Buried memories…
Ulla Tulin has lost a month of her life. Her journey to learn who her parents are has brought her to the attention of the Älvolk sect—and a man claiming to be her father. But instead of a long lost family reunion, Ulla has forgotten her time there, and fears something terrible happened.
Sacred flower…
The Älvolk released Ulla alive for one reason only, to exchange her for a rare flower with mystical properties. Determined to break her amnesia, Ulla risks her life against a dark enchantment capable of killing her to remember the Älvolk’s secrets—to use the flower as part of an incantation that will open the bridge to Alfheim, the First City.
Blood prophecy…
But opening the bridge will unleash a menagerie of monstrous creatures upon Earth that will consume everything in their path. Knowing she may lose Pan Soriano, the love of her life, Ulla nevertheless gathers an army of Trylle to stand with her and defend humanity as well as her own kind. And it is Ulla’s very heritage that holds the key to victory.

Return to the World of the Trylle
On July 7, 2020, I’m returning to the world of the Trylle Trilogy and the Kanin Chronicles with the first book in the Omte Origins THE LOST CITY, followed by the second book THE MORNING FLOWER on August 4, 2020.
The Omte Origins – like the two previous series – is a trilogy, and it’s set five years after the events of the Kanin Chronicles and nine years after the events of the Trylle Trilogy. Characters from the Trylle and Kanin have roles to play – both large and small – so I recommend reading the other series first, if you have the chance.
I did write the Omte Origins so it could be accessible to people who had never read either the Kanin or the Trylle, but there will be spoilers for the previous books, as well as some fun references and Easter eggs that add another layer to the world.
Here’s the official description for THE LOST CITY:
Amanda Hocking, the New York Times bestselling author of The Kanin Chronicles, returns to the magical world of the Trylle Trilogy with The Lost City, the first novel in The Omte Origins―and the final story arc in her beloved series.
The storm and the orphan
Twenty years ago, a woman sought safety from the spinning ice and darkness that descended upon a small village. She was given shelter for the night by the local innkeepers but in the morning, she disappeared―leaving behind an infant. Now nineteen, Ulla Tulin is ready to find who abandoned her as a baby or why.
The institution and the quest
Ulla knows the answers to her identity and heritage may be found at the Mimirin where scholars dedicate themselves to chronicling troll history. Granted an internship translating old documents, Ulla starts researching her own family lineage with help from her handsome and charming colleague Pan Soriano.
The runaway and the mystery
But then Ulla meets Eliana, a young girl who no memory of who she is but who possesses otherworldly abilities. When Eliana is pursued and captured by bounty hunters, Ulla and Pan find themselves wrapped up in a dangerous game where folklore and myth become very real and very deadly―but one that could lead Ulla to the answers she’s been looking for.

Here’s the official description for THE MORNING FLOWER:
New York Times bestselling author Amanda Hocking returns to the magical world of the Trylle with THE MORNING FLOWER, the second book in the Omte Origins arc.
Welcome back to the kingdom of the Omte―a forest realm where secrets and danger, human nature and ancient mythology collide.
Where truth is stranger than fiction.
Searching for answers to her own shrouded origins, Ulla Tulin’s journey of exploration takes a sudden turn when Eliana is kidnapped. Turning toward the Omte capital instead of the institute where she hoped to learn the truth about her identity, Ulla must put Eliana’s welfare before her own―a sacrifice that will present all new dangers to them both.
When history is still unwritten.
Ulla never expected that once she arrived she’d discover the identity of a Skojare man who crossed paths with her mother―a man who could very well be her father. Given the man’s connections to the Älvolk, a secret society tasked with protecting the location of the First City, Ulla is soon dispatched to Sweden to find him.
One woman will dare to go wherever fate will take her…
Now Ulla, along with her maybe boyfriend Pan, finds herself on a desperate race against time to locate her kin―who could very well pose a danger to her kingdom. Nobody and nothing is as it seems as she penetrates the dark heart of the Älvolk…all the way to the secret Lost Bridge to the First City, where an unknown future awaits for Ulla and her kind.

Everything You Should Know About the Valkyrie Duology
You may have heard that I have a new series about Valkyries coming out, but other than that, I haven’t said much about it, even though I have been hard at work on the books for a year (I’m currently just finishing up the second book now). It turned out to be an intense, ambitious duology, and I am certain that this is far and away my best work. I pushed myself way out of my comfort zone and took risks that I think really paid off.
It’s dark and gritty, but also beautiful and filled with all types of monsters and mythologies. Malin is nineteen-year-old Valkyrie, and she’s the deeply flawed heroine who leads a cast of diverse characters in a world that is running out space and time.
Anyway, you probably just want to get to the juicy bits, so I’ll just get on with it, and show you the covers, the release dates, and brief description (PLUS an excerpt!)
Game of Thrones meets Blade Runner in this new futuristic YA fantasy inspired by Norse mythology that will be out January 2, 2018
As one of the Valkyries, Malin’s duty is to slay immortals and return them to the afterlife. But when she unearths a secret that could unravel everything she knows, Malin must decide where her loyalties lie. At the same time, she wonders if helping blue-eyed boy Asher enact his revenge is worth the risk, all while her ex tries to get back into her heart.

Right now, both Between the Blade and the Heart and From the Earth to the Shadows are available for preorder in paperback, but they will be out in ebook also (and up for preorder closer to the release dates). Both books will also be out worldwide in English, and I will post more once I have the official release dates and covers for the UK, Australia, and elsewhere.

Swear is Finally Here
After all this time, the final book in the My Blood Approves series is here!!!! If you haven’t snagged your copy yet, here’s all the ordering information:
Get Swear in ebook from Amazon
Get Swear in ebook from Barnes & Noble
Get Swear in ebook from Kobo
Get Swear in ebook from iBooks
Get Swear in ebook from Smashwords
Get Swear in paperback from Createspace
The ebook version of Swear includes a sneak peek at my standalone novel Freeks (which will be out January 3, 2017). The paperback edition of Swear includes a Freeks sneak peek as well the novella Letters to Elise. The novella was too short to release in print on it’s own, so I thought coupling it with the paperback would be a great way for readers to get a hardcopy of it. You can get the paperback: here.
At the moment, Swear is available in ebook everywhere ebooks are sold, but it’s only available in in paperback from Createspace. It will be up at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.com, but it takes a few days time to get into the system. This book is self-published, so it won’t be available in stores – only online.
Right now Swear is only available in English, but I do believe that there will be audio and foreign language translations in the future. I literally just finished the book a month ago, though, and my agent started shopping it around to foreign publishers then, so it will still be quite some time before it comes out in other languages or audio. I just wanted to get the book out as soon as possible because people have been waiting so long, but unfortunately, there will still be a longer wait for publishers in other countries.
You can read a recap of the first four books in the My Blood Approves series: here.
You can read the first three chapters of Swear: here.
