Ascend Stuff
In case you missed yesterday’s post, Ascend is now for sale on Amazon and Barnes & Noble! There’s also a discussion at Amazon where spoilers are welcome. So if you’re interested in discussing the ending of Ascend, there’s a good place to do it.
The paperback for Ascend is just waiting for them to let me approve the proof. Also, I updated Switched and Torn‘s paperbacks (like I’ve needed to do for awhile), so they’re going to be unavailable for a little bit. I hate to do it, but the only way I can make changes is to unpublish them. The good news is that Switched, Torn, and Ascend should all be for sale in paperback around the same time again. I’ll make updated links as soon as they are.
So it’s just starting to set in that the Trylle Trilogy is over. It’s weird. There’s so much time and energy put into the three books getting them ready and so many people talking about it. It feels really strange to think that this is it.
I know other writers have talked about how they felt sad when they finished writing a series, but I didn’t. I still had to live in that world for awhile getting it all ready. And I know that for awhile now, I’ll still be getting reviews and readers will still be asking questions about it. But… it’s kinda over now. At least for me.
And I don’t know that I’m sad. But it is weird.
But it definitely is making me consider the idea of writing a spin-off trilogy more. I don’t know why exactly, since I wouldn’t really want any of the principal characters from the Trylle Trilogy as main characters in another book. There would be some small cameos, but that is all.
Oh well. I can’t work on it any time soon anyway. I have about 57 other things I need to do first.
But thanks to everyone for reading the books and all the support. So far, the response to Ascend has been really positive, and I was pretty scared about how people would react. It’s nice to know that none of you have plans to kill me in my sleep (so far, anyway).
But now, I miss bid you farewell. I have to eat breakfast, watch Top Chef, and do a lot of running today, including meeting with an accountant, which is also terrifying. So all in all, it should be a pretty scary/busy day.
Stay gold, everybody!

I agree with Kristen D I would love to know more abot Elora and a prequel sounds great! I really love the series and I am currently reading the My Blood Approves Series. When I read the Twilight Series I was sad when it ended but I had closure, where as after finishing the Trylle Series there wasnt closure for me. I think that the setting and the characters in the series are so rich that it has so much more potential. The whole vampire genre is flooded right now but the trylle people are new, different and enticing. As soon as I read it I told several of my friends about the series and they also agree in the immense potential this subject matter has. Just some food for thought. I really enjoy your writing and look forward to what somes next
just wanted to say a few things–
-found your books last thursday night
-i have read all of my blood approves and trylle trilogy since then
-i have done nothing but read since then, no laundry, no dishes, no eating lunch too distracting from reading time. (my poor husband has had to be a house busband all week because of you 🙂
–Team Jack and Team Finn
–Not too sound like a Creepy McCreepster but judging from your about me section i think we may have been separated at birth…
–thank you for your work!
So I just found out about your series and I’ve spent the past three days reading all three books and I really enjoyed them. I was a little sad though because all through the first two I really wanted Wendy to end up with Finn and then she ended up with Loki. Why after the first book did you decide to make her end up with someone besides Finn? Just being curious. =)
Hello!
First off, congratulations on Ascend! It was definitely a great ending to the Trylle Trilogy!
Second, I wanted to say that you’ve definitely made a very long time fan out of me! I’ve read all there is to read under your name, and I’m definitely hooked! There is lots of talent in that creative head of yours! Keep it up!
Third, I was wondering (to appease my most impatient self) if you could post another blog soon about your next baby in the works?? I would really like to know if there is something I’ll be able to look forward to!
Thanks,
A dedicated fan! 🙂

Got my Kindle as an early birthday gift. My goals is to read a book a week..Thank GOD that you posted Ascend. I just finished Torn (2nd book, 2nd week) and had not seen anything about Ascend on Amazon yet and was having a little panic. I’m not good with waiting for the next book to come out..so, thanks for getting it out there for us! About to start it right now! Hurray!
